Sumidero Canyon National Park

Its current building dates from 1984 and was realized by Arq. Juan Miramontes Najera. It has two permanent exhibition halls. The first is regarding the pre Hispanic cultures of Chiapas and holds one of the most valuable archaeological pieces collection in the country, distributed along stages distinguished by the colors on its walls. The second hall on the superior level has historical, artistic and ethnographic aspects from the XVI century to the actuality, meaning the colonial and republican epochs. In it is an important collection of Chiapanese colonial art.
