Montebello Lagoons National Park
Famous because of the different colors its lagoons display, this is caused by various intervening factors,
such as type of flooring at the bottom, the vegetation and the diffraction of light. The visit is made through
two main roads the first one takes you to the Emerald & Enchanted lagoons, the blue forest and the Ensueño
and Agua tinta (Ink water) lagoons. On the other road you go to the montebello lakes, the cañada (creak),
Pojoj, Tziscao, five lakes and the two lagoons sections among others, Tziscao is the largest and its placed
right on the Guatemalan border.
