This Tzeltal village, depended to Convento Dominico de Copanaguastla in XVI century. Vestige of that age are the magnificent church ruins, remaining aisle walls and presbytery. The sight is magnificent due to the height respect to the plains of San Bartolomé.

From Tuxtla Gutiérrez 104 Kms, on Federal highway to Central Hidroeléctrica Belisario Domínguez and then continue to 101 state’s highway to San Francisco Pujltic, take a detour to Las Rosas and drive 5 Km to get to the place.
There is a tour to the place from Tuxtla Gutiérrez or San Cristóbal de Las Casas or through local transportation in San Francisco Pujltic to the nearest place.
Weather is so hot that light clothes are comfortable.
