Description

This Tzeltal village, depended to Convento Dominico de Copanaguastla in XVI century. Vestige of that age are the magnificent church ruins, remaining aisle walls and presbytery. The sight is magnificent due to the height respect to the plains of San Bartolomé.

A complete and elegant frontispiece has a gridiron composition that combines flat pilaster with entablature of shallow niches and crowned by a stepped belfry.

From Tuxtla Gutiérrez 104 Kms, on Federal highway to Central Hidroeléctrica Belisario Domínguez and then continue to 101 state’s highway to San Francisco Pujltic, take a detour to Las Rosas and drive 5 Km to get to the place.
