Founded in 1942 by Eliseo Palacios for studying and preserving region's fauna. Was named
in honor of its principal (Miguel Alvarez del Toro) from 1942 to 1996. Located in the center
of a middle jungle zone, which originates a similar habitat for the animals living in it. The tour lasts 3 hours
approximately starting in a craft shop.
You can also visit the coffee shops placed along the tour around the jungle paths, an audiovisual room,
bookstore, ecologic orientation area and picnic area.
