INTRODUCTION

"I entered to mysterious chamber with the strange sensation to be the first who stepped the one thousand years echelons. I tried to se it with the same eyes as seen by Palenque Priests leaving the crypt; I wanted to erase the centuries and listen the last human voices vibrations; I tried to understand that the ancient Maya had left untouched. Through a veil of time I was looking for the impossible link between their lives and ours."

Alberto Ruz L'huillier, related to Pakal's
tomb discovery ,in 1952.
